Reason for Consultation  
Respiratory symptoms following home renovation dust exposure and environmental exposure history evaluation.

History of Present Illness  
Maria reports respiratory symptoms that began after a recent bedroom renovation at her home, which involved exposure to house dust and construction dust including drywall and pink fiberglass insulation. The renovation area was not completely sealed off from the rest of the house. She wore protective equipment including a mask, goggles, safety shoes, and gloves during demolition and did not get any materials on her skin or clothing. She laundered all clothing after exposure. She did not experience rash, headaches, dizziness, or breathing problems from the dust exposure. She notes occasional skin irritation and red blotches on her skin related to exposure to secondhand and thirdhand cigarette and cannabis smoke at her workplace, which involves visiting clinics, hospitals, and patient homes. She denies any breathing problems or other symptoms from cannabis smoke. There is no worsening or improvement of symptoms in different settings. She has no known chemical sensitivities or allergies except a past disproven penicillin allergy. She follows a vegan diet and takes various over-the-counter vegan supplements.

Past Medical History  
- No significant past medical history reported

Medications  
- Over-the-counter vegan supplements including turmeric, collagen, apple cider vinegar, biotin, women's multivitamin, iron, and vitamin B12

Allergies  
- No current medication allergies; past suspected penicillin allergy later disproven

Assessment / Impression  
1. Respiratory symptoms likely related to environmental dust exposure from recent home renovation involving drywall and fiberglass insulation.  
2. Skin irritation and rash likely related to occasional exposure to secondhand and thirdhand tobacco and cannabis smoke at workplace.  
3. No evidence of chemical sensitivities or other environmental allergies.

Plan / Recommendations  
- Recommend continued avoidance of dust exposure and use of protective equipment during home renovations.  
- Advise minimizing exposure to secondhand and thirdhand smoke at workplace.  
- Monitor symptoms and consider further evaluation if respiratory symptoms persist or worsen.  
- Follow-up with me as needed for ongoing assessment.
