Patient identification was confirmed using DOB and PHN. The patient confirmed that they are in a private location using their own communication device, as am I. Informed verbal consent was obtained from the patient to communicate and provide care using virtual communication tools. The risks related to unauthorized disclosure or interception of personal health information have been explained to her. The patient understands the need to seek urgent care if needed, and is aware that I am located in Surrey BC and the patient is also located in BC.
