Dear Patient, Thank you for coming to see me. We discussed your recovery process following your recent surgery on your left leg. Below is a summary of the key points and recommendations from our visit: - You had surgery on your left leg about four weeks ago to fix a broken bone. The incision is healing well. - You mentioned some discomfort with your brace. Alex will help adjust it to make it more comfortable. - Swelling in your leg is normal and will take time to go down. Wearing compression socks in the morning can help with this. - You are doing range of motion exercises at home, which is great. If you prefer, we can arrange formal physical therapy sessions for you. - You should not put weight on your injured leg yet. You can touch your foot to the ground for balance only. - You are finishing your current medication, Celebrex, this Sunday. After that, you can use Advil and Tylenol as needed for pain relief. - You will need to continue wearing your brace until your x-rays show that your leg has healed enough. We will reassess this at your follow-up appointment. Please follow these instructions and let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to support you in your recovery. Yours sincerely, Dr. Jamie Lin xxx@xxx.xxx
