Dear Patient,

Thank you for coming to see me. We discussed your recovery process following your recent surgery on your left leg. Below is a summary of the key points and recommendations from our visit:

- You had surgery on your left leg about four weeks ago to fix a broken bone. The incision is healing well.
- You mentioned some discomfort with your brace. Alex will help adjust it to make it more comfortable. You are also approved for a range of motion brace.
- Swelling in your leg is normal and will take time to go away. Wearing compression socks in the morning can help reduce swelling.
- Continue doing the range of motion exercises you mentioned, such as flexing and extending your knee 50 times while sitting. These gentle movements are beneficial.
- You are currently non-weight bearing, which means you should not put weight on your injured leg. You can touch your foot to the ground for balance only.
- You are finishing your current medication, Celebrex, this Sunday. After that, you can switch to Advil and Tylenol as needed for pain relief.
- You will need to wear the brace until your x-rays show that your leg has healed adequately. We will reassess this at your follow-up appointment.
