3Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to bill for A010, the consultation must be conducted via video; telephone consultations are ineligible. Physicians must be designated by the MOH-OMA GP Focused Practice Review Committee or be eligible for the focused practice psychotherapy premium. This video consultation code is reimbursed as a flat fee of $95.60 once per two consecutive 12-month periods for the same patient and diagnosis. Exceptions include two services within such periods if the second consultation occurs in a hospital or Emergency Department more than 12 but less than 24 months after the first. Unrelated diagnoses allow for billing once every 12 months.
